Janie Cotton, vice president of TCO Title Services, has over 35 years of serving the real estate industry. She came to TCO Title Services in April 2016 to found the company and open our doors. Her long professional experience goes hand in hand with her deep connection to her community: A native of Oklahoma City and resident of Edmond most of her life, Janie is an expert in real estate and title services.
Working in the area for over three decades has given her the opportunity of serving clients and providing services across the state. She is dedicated to provide a high level of customer service and is not afraid of a challenge. Janie believes the key to her success and building relationships has been due to “her special personal touch and availability to the client”.
Her experience includes all types of commercial transactions, including bulk sales, churches, medical facilities, retail, investment and development of commercial housing and urban development (HUD) multi-family transactions. In addition, she has experience in handling asset purchases, leasehold transactions, 1031 tax deferred exchanges and defeasances.
She has accumulated experience working for the two largest title insurance underwriters in the country: Fidelity and First American. Throughout her career, she served as vice president at Capitol Abstract and Title Co, where she worked for over 19 years. There she managed escrow offices in several markets, then eventually going into commercial real estate in 2008. Between 2012 and 2016, Janie handled commercial and residential closings at First American Title & Trust Co.
Janie is a member of Commercial Real Estate Council of Oklahoma City (CREC) and American Land Title Association (ALTA). She is also licensed to provide title insurance for the state of Oklahoma.
